8vo. Original quarter cloth, salmon-colored boards; publisher's slipcase (rubbing, light sunning to spine). Provenance: Armorial bookplate on inner front board.

FIRST EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, number 125 of 485 copies, SIGNED BY PARKER. Dorothy Parker was renowned as one of the great poets of the early twentieth century, with her first volume of poetry, Enough Rope (1926) hailed as being "caked with salty humor...and tarred with a bright black authenticity." Later in life she worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood; during this time she received two Academy Award nominations with her first being for her 1937 screenplay for A Star is Born.
